1. The Hon. John Forrest (1847-1918)

John Forrest was an Australian explorer, politician, and the first Premier of Western Australia. Born in Bunbury, Western Australia, he grew up on his family's station in the Wheatbelt region. Forrest is remembered for his exploration achievements, particularly his expeditions through the Western Australian interior. He played a major role in the development of Western Australia and held various ministerial positions in the Australian Parliament.

2. Cristy-Lee Rogers (Born 1977)

Cristy-Lee Rogers is an international award-winning fine art photographer. She was born in Merredin, a town in the Wheatbelt region, and her photography has been exhibited around the world. Rogers' work focuses on emotive and ethereal underwater imagery, exploring themes of isolation, beauty, and the fragility of the human condition.

3. The Hon. Kim Beazley AC (Born 1948)

6. John Boyle O'Reilly (1844-1890)

John Boyle O'Reilly was an Irish-born poet, journalist, and fiction writer. Although not native to the Wheatbelt region, O'Reilly spent a significant portion of his life there. He was sent to Western Australia as a convict due to his involvement in the Irish Fenian uprising. O'Reilly eventually escaped and settled in the United States, where he became a prominent figure in the Irish-American community.

7. Betty Cuthbert AM, MBE (1938-2017)

Betty Cuthbert was an Australian sprinter and four-time Olympic gold medalist. Although she was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Cuthbert spent her early years in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. She achieved remarkable success in athletics, winning medals in various international competitions. Cuthbert is considered one of Australia's greatest athletes and is remembered for her outstanding achievements in the sport.

8. Bon Scott (1946-1980)

Bon Scott was a Scottish-born Australian rock musician and the lead vocalist of the influential rock band, AC/DC. While not originally from the Wheatbelt region, he spent his teenage years in Fremantle, which is located within the larger region of Western Australia's Wheatbelt. Scott's charismatic stage presence and powerful voice contributed to AC/DC's rise to fame, making them one of the world's most successful rock bands.
